full-service retail consultancy for fashion and lifestyle brands with a people-first purpose at their heart

what it is:

Retail for the People is a husband & wife team that grows & scales retail brands. Based in Florida, serving retailers everywhere in the USA. Driven by a passion for bringing people together to experience the best in design, fashion, and retail. They got their start in the wonderful world of pop-up shops and store openings, they have since grown into a full-service retail consulting firm. They are tastemakers, entrepreneurs, and retail enthusiasts at their core, so everything they do is designed to enrich people’s lives because they wholeheartedly believe retail is about and for the people.

whY WE LOVE IT:

RFTP’s Manifesto is “We believe retail is a force for good.” Um yes please. They believe that retail done well is a catalyst for community, and should always put the people and stories at the forefront. Whether working with a start-up on a Shopify E-Com shop or a multi-million dollar big brand, they stick to their values and help store owners use what they have to make an impact for good. And we are here for that mission.

THREE Q’S WITH THE FOUNDER, KRISTA:

Q: WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO START RFTP?

I believe retail is a catalyst for community so I wanted to have a company that helped other retailers have order in the chaos, be able to understand their business numbers and make decisions that help their business grow.

Q: WITH RETAIL TAKING A HIT IN 2020, WHAT’S ONE STRUGGLE YOU’VE HAD TO WORK THROUGH?
The hit has actually been a blessing because people have been more open to trying new things that prior to 2020 they might not have considered. Such as being a fully integrated omnichannel retailer.

A struggle I've had to work through and I'm still working through is taking time away from work. We are so committed to our clients and their business that I have a hard time not working on the weekends and late into the night. Also, our clients, who we like to call partners, often become our friends, so we just want to do the best work for them that we possibly can so my personal struggle that I've been having to work through is having a set start and end time for the work day.

Q: MORNING DRINK OF CHOICE?
I make a latte at home every morning! I love Verve's coffee beans.
